The Iraqi Association for Oral Research (IAOR)

We are the Iraqi Section of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the global organisation committed to advancing oral health worldwide.

The IAOR is a professional membership body for clinicians, academics and researchers interested in progressing the provision of oral health in Iraq. The Association was established in 2010 to advance the practice of dentistry, to promote research in oral health and to foster collaborative research networks.

Our logo

Our logo celebrates our Iraqi history. It is the symbol for "mouth" in the most ancient written language known to man, Sumerian. This language was spoken in southern Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) since the 4th millennium BC.
